Welcome to Armenia—a country where thousands of years of history, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality create an unforgettable experience for every traveler, especially students eager to learn and grow beyond borders.
WPI in Armenia
Each year, teams of students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) travel to Armenia to work on meaningful real-world challenges through the Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP) — a cornerstone of WPI’s project-based curriculum. These projects bring together science, engineering, and social insight to address local and global issues in partnership with Armenian institutions, communities, and organizations.
Project Focus
Since the launch of the WPI-Armenia Project Center, students have collaborated on diverse topics such as environmental sustainability, education innovation, public health, digital transformation, and cultural heritage. Projects are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and often supported by forward-thinking sponsors such as AUA, USAID, and EPIC.
Global Learning
Through this initiative, WPI students gain invaluable international experience while contributing to Armenia’s development goals. Explore our project archive by Year, SDG, or Sponsor, and discover how these cross-cultural collaborations are shaping a better future.
